Trying to exercise past your energy comfort zone – especially at first – can set you up for failure. If your friends love a fast-paced Burn Cycle class but it makes you feel burnt out at the end, try something else, like Yoga/Sculpt. 

As your fitness improves (or, if there’s a day when you feel more energized), go ahead and test the waters. 

2. Try Out a Variety of Instructors 

An instructor can make or break the class for many people. Finding an instructor that has a personality that inspires you will encourage you to make their group class a regular part of your routine.     

3. Vary What You Do Each Day

Getting a variety of exercise promotes better health. Cardio exercises keep your cardiovascular system healthy, while strength training keeps your bones strong and increases muscle mass.

Adding various types of exercises into the mix isn’t just good for your health, though. It also keeps things feeling fresh. When exercise feels fun and exciting, you’re more likely to stick with it for the long term.
